Sand and Topsoil as Construction Materials
Sand is a great material that is often used for various construction projects. The types of sand are:
- Class II fill
- Bank-run fill
- Screened sand
- #1 mason sand
Along with sand, topsoil is also used. There are two types of topsoil:
- Unprocessed topsoil - may contain rocks, sticks, weeds, and is a good choice for machine grading.
- Processed topsoil - a special blend of topsoil, run through a 10mm screen so it is debris-free. It is a great choice for raking or shoveling.
